Lynne Jolitz, CTO ExecProducer, was notified on April 4, 2004 that her paper on using massive video production to build alumni outreach was accepted to the ACM SIGCHI International Conference on Advances in Computer Entertainment Technology in Singapore (June 2004). The ACE2004 Conference is considered the foremost international conference on cutting-edge entertainment technologies in online games, CGI movies, interactive TV, virtual reality, and animatronics. The participants range from academics and researchers to entertainment giants like Disney and Pixar. According to Gino Yu, General Chair of the conference and of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, "Entertainment applications are becoming the main factor driving innovation in digital technology". ExecProducer is proud to be a participant in this exciting and growing area of Massive Video Production digital entertainment. Lessons Learned in Massive Video ProductionThe paper entitled "Lessons Learned in Massive Video Production (MVP) for University Alumni Outreach" (Lynne Jolitz, CTO, United States) details the yearlong trails of using Massive Video Production to encourage alumni participation through produced video by students, faculty, staff, and alumni of the department. Working with the Physics Department of the University of California at Berkeley, ExecProducer created an entirely new mechanism to subscribe, process, and approve up to 2,500 video productions viewable via the web internationally, with links to news and information on endowments and donations. The trails were launched as part of former Chancellor Berndahl's rejuvenation of the department after an official report critical of the future of the department was released. Among it's findings were that building a stronger alumni presence would assist the department in maintaining it's "luster" as one of the most prestigious physics departments in the world. Lynne is a alumna of the department. Related
